Pot O' Gold

Hello everyone, St Patrick's Day is just around the corner! Do you celebrate St Patrick's Day? If so, how do you celebrate your special day? I am not Irish, but today I wanted to share with you a cute project I made for St Patrick's Day. For my project I made some Pots O' Gold with some yummy chocolate coins as treats.

I started with Paper Nest Dolls images Lucky Lulu & Lucky Jack. I then created the pots and St Patricks Day cutouts using an SVG file with my Silhouette & some pretty paper from Doodlebug Design.

After I put the pots together I put a small block of floral foam on the bases for my green painted skewers to sit onto. I covered the foam with Green shredded tissue paper & placed the chocolate coins on top. Lastly I stuck my PND images & cutouts to the skewers & added some flowers around the pots for that special touch!

Both stamps are available in digi format. Lucky Lulu can be found here & Lucky Jack can be found here.

Supplies:
Stamp: Paper Nest Dolls "Lucky Lulu" "Lucky Jack"
Paper: Doodlebug Design - Lots O' Luck
SVG File: Doodlebug Design - Lots O' Luck
SVG File: SVG Cuts - Pot O' Gold
Colouring Medium: Copics

Safari Owen

Hello everyone, today I wanted to share with you a card I made for a special birthday boy overseas. I wanted an Australian theme seeing that is where the card will be posted from so I chose the Paper Nest Dolls image Safari Owen.

Seeing that this card has to go through the post to the other side of the world I had to keep the embellishments to a minimum. So I decided to go with a rustic look.

How cute is Owen's Koala friend! Makes me sad to think of how many of our beloved Australian animals we lost recently to the disastrous bush fire season we had!

This adorable image Safari Owen is available rubber here  & in  digital format which can be found here.
Also if you wanted to help our fury friends in the wild who have been injured you can make a donation to WIRES. These guys help rescue our injured native wildlife & do a fantastic job. They need all the help we can get.

Supplies:
Stamp Paper Nest Dolls "Safari Owen" Magnolia "Carte Postale"
Paper: Ultimate Crafts - Australiana Collection
Ink: Tim Holtz "Antique Linen", Memento "Rich Cocoa"
Colouring Medium: Copics

Cupid Owen

Hello everyone, with only 4 sleeps till Valentines day, today I am back sharing a Valentines Day card using one of the sweet images from Paper Nest Dolls newest Valentines Day release called Cupid Owen.

I wanted to make a romantic shabby style card, so I decided to use pink for my colour scheme instead of the traditional Valentines Day reds.

For that romantic feel I embellished my card using hearts, butterflies & lace. You cannot see it on the photo, but I gave the butterflies & Owen's wings a brush with clear Wink of Stella pen to give it a soft shimmer.

This super sweet image Cupid Owen is available as a digi here. Make sure you check out the other new cute PND Valentines Day images also called: Raccoon Love Letter, Raccoon Smooch, Raccoon with Heart Box & Love Letter Emma.

Nativity

Hello everyone, Yay it's my favourite day of the year!!! Merry Christmas!
I am sneaking in today for this short post, to share with you my latest D.T creation for Paper Nest Dolls using the beautiful image Nativity

I was raised in a Christian household so I thought it was fitting to use this image today being the day we celebrate our Saviors birth. Christmas is always a busy time for us starting with Christmas mass on Christmas Eve followed by family coming over for lunch on Christmas Day. It's always an early start at 5am preparing & cooking. My house is always crazy but I wouldn't have it any other way! Later in the day we usually go outside & have some fun with the kids be it water fights (as it's Summer here in Australia) or some other fun activity. Do you celebrate Christmas? If so how do you celebrate in your part of the world?

I coloured the image with Copics then I transferred the image onto my candle. I used Burlap, Ribbon & Flowers to decorate around the candle.

This adorable image is available in rubber which can be found here .

Supplies:
Stamp: Paper Nest Dolls "Nativity"
Colouring Medium: Copics
Accessories: Pillar Candle, Tissue Paper, Wax Paper, WOC Flowers, Ribbon & Burlap from my stash.

Warning: Please remove any flammable embellishments as the flame burns down. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Well I better get back to my kitchen! :)

Wishing you all a safe & blessed Christmas from my home to yours!

Christmas Treat Bags

Hello, today I am back sharing another project for The Paper Nest Dolls. For my inspiration today I have used The Paper Nest Dolls Candy Cane PrincessGingerbread Girl & Mrs Claus to make these super cute & super easy treat bags.

Earlier this month I was in the grocery store & saw some Christmas limited edition Lindor Lindt mint & gingerbread flavoured chocolate balls.  I saw the pretty cellophane wrap that they were wrapped in & instantly I was inspired to use them for my next project, not to mention I am a chocoholic ;)

I decided to make some Christmas themed gusseted treat bags. These were super easy & fun to make. To start you will need some clear gusseted bags with a wider base. I purchased mine from a cake decorating supply shop.

My bags were 4" W x 7 1/4" H. Cut your cardstock of choice 10 3/4" x 3 7/8". I made mine 1/8" shorter in width so that the cardstock easily slides into bag. With my gingerbread man cardstock I also had to cut it slightly longer about 1/8" in Length more than the others as I did not want any gingerbread men with chopped heads, so make sure you keep that in mind when you pick your cardstock. Then score at 1 1/4", 7 1/2" & 9 1/2".

Then gently slide your cardstock into the gusseted bag continuously holding end & making sure to press the 2" fold flat at base.

I then used some shredded tissue paper on the bottom before I filled with treats. Not only does it look pretty but this helps to keep the bag firm as well.

I then folded the top flap outside of the bag on front & secured it in place using wooden pegs. A metal clip would work as well. Remember a little while back I discovered Sculpey Clay? Well I told you I was going to get addicted to this stuff! I didn't have the embellishments I needed so I made a candy cane & holly. Too Easy!!! I then stuck on my images using double sided foam tape & embellished the pegs!

Candy Cane Princess is available in rubber which can be found here & in digital format which can be found here. Gingerbread Girl is available in rubber which can be found here & in digital format which can be found here. Mrs Claus is available in digital format which can be found here.
