Father's Day Tractor Box Card

Hello Crafty friends, today I want to share how I made this adorable Father's Day Tractor Box card!

The file for my project today is the Box Card Father's Day Tractor (SVGSilhouette).

After cutting out all my pieces I glued all my coloured panels onto the corresponding pieces.

I wanted my wheels to have dimension, so I added some foam squares instead of just glueing them down flat.

I then created my box by folding & glueing my tabs into place. I lined up the insert first glueing one side then gently folding the card flat as I go to make sure it placed evenly before I glued the tab on the other side.

Next I layed my box flat & gently glued the front & back panels onto my box card base. The file comes with a Father's Day message on the back that you can print & cut, but because it is not Father's Day in Australia until September, I decided to leave it out so that I can use this card for my husband's birthday in a couple of weeks.

My husband is a farmer, so I wanted to add a little farmer inside my box card. I have used the Doodlebug Farmer - On the Farm also available from the Lori Whitlock store (SVGSilhouette). Lastly I added some Sprinkles to embellish.

The box card folds flat to fit into envelope!

Happy Birthday Balloon Cluster Cards

Hello Crafty friends, today I have some cute quick cards to share with you!

I have chosen the 5x7 Happy Birthday Balloon Cluster Card file (SVGSilhouette) from Lori Whitlock. These were very easy, quick & fun to do! I like to have some cards on hand in my stash & these were perfect.

Not only did I make cards that were fun & bright, but I was able to add silver to blue & white or black & white to get a masculine theme! I definitley never have enough of those in my stash!

I started out by cutting out all my paper elements.
Now just a quick tip......my Silhouette Cameo doesn't seem to like cutting fine small detail in black cardstock. I have found an easy solution to this by using black adhesive vinyl instead. Once I weed my vinyl I was able to use transfer tape to place the sentiment & the string in place quite easily. I find this process less messy too! No need to use glue to stick down those fine lines.

Next it's just a matter of adhering all the balloons into place & using some foam tape for the front ones to get dimension, like I have, if you wish. Then I embellished with some enamel shapes to look like confetti around the balloons.

This card file makes a great activity to do with the kids! As I said, they were so easy to do!

I hope you enjoyed my cards today & give them a try for yourself!

Supplies:
Paper: Doodlebug Design - Petite Prints

Strawberry Scale Box Card - May Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

Hello friends! Welcome to the Lori Whitlock May Blog Hop!

I am in the process of creating a Strawberry themed tiered tray for decor in my craft room! In keeping with my blog name, "Berry Sweet Paper Patch", I am wanting to make whatever decor I can out of paper.

I have chosen a cute file from Lori Whitlock called Box Card Lemon Scale (SVGSilhouette). I altered the original Lemon theme to a Strawberry theme by replacing the lemon elements to strawberry elements from the Lori Whitlock Strawberry Basket with Strawberry file (SVGSilhouette). Once I opened the scale file in Silhouette I slightly enlarged my file. I then opened the Strawberry Basket file & enlarged the strawberries using the lemons as a guide for size. I also included the vine & flowers. I then arranged my strawberries how I would like them to sit in my scales & created an external offset at the exact same size. As you can see in pic below, this is just a backing to glue the strawberries onto & will not be seen from the front.  You can omit this part if you prefer.  After cutting & glueing my pieces together I finished my scale by adding another strawberry, vines & flowers on the front with some enamel dots to embellish.

Don't forget the sale!
