Big Box Card Basket Strawberries

Hello crafty friends, today I want to share with you a tutorial for the berry sweet Big Box Card Basket Strawberries (SVG, Silhouette), from Lori Whitlock!

As you most of you know Strawberry projects are my favourite, so I couldn't wait to make this card.

First step was to cut out all my pieces.

Next step is to layer & glue all your pieces, making sure to match correctly all the strawberry leaves to the green background panel before you glue. You will need to fold down the basket flaps then adhere the scalloped panels on the folded side down. The file comes with 2 flowers but as you will see, I cut some extra flowers to use as embellishments. I also inked the centres of my white flowers with some distress oxide before I glued down the circle centres or added the enamel dots. There are also some extra strawberries in the file, you can cut these if you wish for the strawberries to be seen from the back as well as the front. Note: make sure you flip the large strawberries horizontally if you wish to add these to the back of the card, remember you are doing the reverse side.

Now it's time to put your box card together & assemble the basket. Start by folding down all the scored lines. Now glue the tabs on the inside of the box. I find the best way to do this is by folding the box flat to get the tabs nice & straight along the edge.

Next is to adhere the inside panels inside the box. These are numbered 1, 2 & 3. I started out by glueing number 2 first in the centre as I found this helped me space them evenly. Flatten your project as the glue dries each time to make sure the tabs adhere.

To finish off I adhered the strawberry onto the front using pop dots and embellished with some of the extra flowers. I also tied a bow onto the basket handle.

Hope you like my Big Box Card Basket Strawberries! This file is also be found in the Big Box Card Basket Bundle, which includes Big Box Card Basket Big Box Card Basket Flowers, Big Box Card Crafty & Big Box Card Basket Sunflowers, (SVG)

Baby Girl Dress Card

Hello Crafty friends, today I want to share how I made this adorable Baby Girl Dress card (SVGSilhouette).

I wanted to enlarge the card so I enlarged all my pieces at the same time by dragging the curser until the base of the dress card was large enough & fit inside the cutting perimeter. This will give me a card that will fit into a 6x6 envelope.

I wanted to have a strawberry theme so I took some elements from the Lori Whitlock Strawberry Basket with Strawberry file (SVGSilhouette). To get a visual I dragged them onto my dress. I kept the strawberry & flower the original size then reduced the vine to fit.

I also reduced 1 more flower & cut it twice to create the buttons.

I like to make an insert for my cards. I find this also helps to keep my card a little sturdier considering there are more layers on the front. To do this I created an internal offset distance of 0.125 applying the sharp corner.

I then cut out all of my pieces & glued all my panels into place.

This card was so easy & fast to put together! Even with the extra strawberry elements.

I hope you liked my card today.

Strawberry Scale Box Card - May Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

Hello friends! Welcome to the Lori Whitlock May Blog Hop!

I am in the process of creating a Strawberry themed tiered tray for decor in my craft room! In keeping with my blog name, "Berry Sweet Paper Patch", I am wanting to make whatever decor I can out of paper.

I have chosen a cute file from Lori Whitlock called Box Card Lemon Scale (SVGSilhouette). I altered the original Lemon theme to a Strawberry theme by replacing the lemon elements to strawberry elements from the Lori Whitlock Strawberry Basket with Strawberry file (SVGSilhouette). Once I opened the scale file in Silhouette I slightly enlarged my file. I then opened the Strawberry Basket file & enlarged the strawberries using the lemons as a guide for size. I also included the vine & flowers. I then arranged my strawberries how I would like them to sit in my scales & created an external offset at the exact same size. As you can see in pic below, this is just a backing to glue the strawberries onto & will not be seen from the front.  You can omit this part if you prefer.  After cutting & glueing my pieces together I finished my scale by adding another strawberry, vines & flowers on the front with some enamel dots to embellish.

Don't forget the sale!

Strawberry Jam Emma

Hello Crafty Friends, I am back today with some D.T. inspiration for the Paper Nest Dolls

Today I have a berry sweet card to share using the adorable Strawberry Jam Emma stamp.

I created my card on a 5"x7" base & die cut some panels & layered. I used a scalloped die for the background of my image. I created a strawberry shaker by layering my strawberry die cut mutliple times till I got the desired height & filled some shaker sprinkles inside then covered the top with acetate & lastly another red die cut. I cut & ink blended my leaf die cuts. I fussy cut my image after colouring & adhered using foam squares for dimension. I then glued all my die cut pieces including the shaker into place. Lastly I added the sentiment & some sprinkles to embellish.

Sweet Strawberry Parfait

Hi all, tomorrow is the first day of March here in the Southern Hemisphere. First day of Autumn, which also means that Spring is upon those who live in the Northern part of our world.

Last month Elisabeth Bell asked her Facebook followers what sort of Spring images they would like for her to draw. She promised she would pick one suggestion & turn it into a new image.

The first thing that came to mind for Spring was Strawberries. Takes me back to my childhood growing up on a Strawberry farm.

Last week she made the announcement of the winning suggestion & to my excitement she took on board my idea with the strawberries & also another great suggestion of rainbows from another follower & turned those ideas into this beautiful new image.

Introducing "Strawberry Parfait"! Isn't she just adorable & sweet!!! Reminds me of my childhood with Strawberry Shortcake & Rainbow Brite.

Strawberry Parfait is available free now to all Elisabeth Bell Creative Club members. To join the Creative Club you can find it here.
