Hello everyone, today I am back to share another D.T. inspiration with my project for Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios.
Do you like to use notebooks or journals in your craftroom or just have for everyday basics? I seem to have accumulated a pile of notes that I keep for future reference when I am crafting. Recently I decided to transfer all the information, which I had on my little pieces of note paper, into a notebook so that I can find them all in one place. I like my things to be pretty so I decided I wanted to cover my notebook to match my personality.
I coloured a profile image from RAM called Noelene's Kitty with my Copics. Yes, that's right this image was designed based on my profile pic! You can see I am holding my cat Duchess and if you know me personally you would know I am a fan of wearing hoop earrings. My favourites are the sparkly type, so after colouring I went over the earrings with some Stickles to make them sparkle.
Copics:

Cat: C00, C0, C1, C02, R20

For my notebook I started off with a hard cover journal 6 1/8" x 8 1/2", which I purchased from Kmart.
I stuck down the base cardstock which was cut 12" x 8 1/2". Because I forgot I was going to use a different paper with the scallop pattern on the spine I stuck the polka dot paper down by placing the spine in the centre, which left me a little short on the back & front ends. The next step can be avoided by cutting 2 pieces of 6" x 8 1/2" & sticking them on from the outer ends on back & front making sure to fold over excess inside the cover. If you forget like I did this is an easy fix by cutting a different pattern paper & making sure to allow 1/2" extra so that it can be folded & stuck down inside the cover. This made it look a little neater.
For the scallop spine I cut my paper 3" x 8 1/2" then die cut the long ends making sure scallop pattern matches up on both sides.
Lastly I stuck down some more matching papers & die cuts & finished off by embellishing with flowers & matching Sprinkles.
