Bee Yourself

Hello Crafty Friends, today I am using another image from the new release at  Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios.

Although this is a Halloween image I decided to create a birthday card. This is what I love about these images, even though they were intended for Halloween they are versatile & have many uses.

I have made a card using the new bee-utiful stamp called Bee Yourself.

I started out by ink blending my cardstock with Distress Inks then added some splatters to create the background. I die cut a honeycomb shaped die 3 times & adhered to the background. For my sentiment I got a little creative & decided to play with the word "Happy". I used the "Hoppy" sentiment from the Hoppy Birthday Bunny mini scene creator digi stamp from last months release. I have taken the letters "H" & "P"  & omitted the rest of the letters. This was easy to do & you don't need no fancy program. I just copied & pasted the sentiment twice & cropped out the letters I did not need. I then added one of the cute little bees from the Bee Yourself digi stamp to act as the letter A & then added the Bee from the sentiment portion & aligned them into place to complete my sentiment. Lastly I placed my coloured image on top & added some gold sequins to embellish.

Copics:
Hair: E42, E44, E47, E49
Dogs: YR00, YR21, YR24
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
Bees & Clothes: C4, C5, C7, C9, Y000, Y00, Y32, Y35, Y38,

Not So Spooky Tree

 Happy Halloween everyone!

Today I have a special treat to show you! Do you decorate for Halloween? I am not a big fan of the scary side of Halloween & definitely not into horror, so I decided to create this "Not so spooky tree".

This will be a long post so grab a coffee & read on!

I started out by finding the perfect branch to use as my tree. That wasn't very hard as all I had to do was go to the back of my property to find one. I then cleaned off any leaves, cut the twigs back to my preferred size & spray painted it black. For my base I found a small empty box that was roughly 20cm x 21cm x 6cm. I then glued layers of foam board roughly cut to size inside my box till the layers reached the top. This is so we can have something sturdy to hold the tree in place when it sits in the box. I already had foam board scraps lying around, but you can use florist foam as well. After letting the board dry I closed the lid & drilled a hole in the center. Once I covered the box with pretty cardstock I hot glued the tree into the hole making sure I held the tree so it sat straight till the glue dried.

If you love Doodlebug products as much as I do, then you would know how cute their Halloween collections are, so I thought they would be perfect to use to make the decorations for my tree.

My Spiders & Webs, Caldrons & Lanterns were created using Svg files. I omitted the bubbles on the Caldron file for & the eyes & cheeks of my spiders & added some glitter sprinkles for dimesion.

The witches hats were created using a Witch Hat Treat Cone SVG file, which you can get for free here. In the file the small holes on the side are on the base of the hat but I changed mine to be close to the point, as I did not want my hat to be hung up side down as originally intended.

To make the baubles I mixed 1 part water to 1 part Ranger Glossy Accents. I then swirled a small amount of the diluted Glossy Accents inside the clear bauble till all the inside was coated & drained out any excess. I poured in some glitter of my chosen colour & shook the bauble till all the inside was coated in glitter. Once these were dry I place the tops back on & added some Shape Sprinkles to decorate.

My paper Pumpkins were created by using circle dies & were very easy to make. You will find the tutorial I used here.

I then created some paper rosettes in various papers & placed Mini Icon Stickers in the center.

I love how these turned out, they are just the cutest!

Lastly I added some Doodlebug Chit Chat & Odds & Ends die cut cardstock pieces & more shaped sprinkles for my base to embellish.

Supplies:
Paper: Doodlebug Design - Petite Prints, Ghost Town & Candy Carnival Collections
Lori Whitlock Store SVG Files: Pumpkin Party - Caldron & Frog, Pumpkin Party - Web Lantern, Ghost Town - Spider & Web by Doodlebug Design
Dreaming Tree SVG File - Witch Hat Treat Cone
Accessories: Spellbinders Circle Dies, Ranger Glossy Accents, Clear Baubles, Glitter,  Doodlebug Mini Icon Stickers, Odds & Ends Pieces, Chit Chat Pieces Sprinkles, Shape Sprinkles & Twine
Silhouette Cameo 2 Machine, Ribbon from my stash.

Halloween Candy Jar

Hello everyone! Today I have a special Halloween treat to share. If you have been following me for a while you would remember a Kitty Cat Treat Jar I made.

I decided to make something similar but this time for Halloween Candy.

On my lid I die cut a frame using Doodlebug Nesting Scallops. I then cut out the super cute Ghost Town SVG file Ghost in Pumpkin to size & glued it onto my lid.

For the outer base circles these were cut out with my Silhouette by creating a circle to the measurements.

For my sides I used Ghost Town Icon stickers.

Lastly I embellished my jar by adding some Boutique trim to the lid & some colourful sprinkles.

Paper: Doodlebug Design - Ghost Town Collection
Lori Whitlock Store SVG File: Ghost in Pumpkin by Doodlebug Design

Evil Fairy

Hi everyone, today I am back to share some D.T. inspiration for the Paper Nest Dolls.
`
Do you like to make your own decorations for Halloween?
For today's project I am using one of the newest images from the Villains Collection called "Evil Fairy".

Firstly I coloured my image to size, then I created a shadow box wholly made out of cardstock & some flowers to match, using my Silhouette machine. I cut the name out of vinyl as I thought this would be easier to stick on. I omitted the I in the name to be replaced with the Evil Fairy image. Then I glued & stuck it all together with some added die cuts.

Dress: N0, N01, N04, N05, N07, N08, N09, N10, RV69, RV66, RV63, V17, V15

Cara Mia

Hello everyone, I am back again to share some D.T inspiration for the Paper Nest Doll.
Today I am using 2 adorably gooky & spooky images called Goth Mom & Goth Dad from the newest October release.

Do you remember watching the original Addams Family T.V. series, I remember watching it in Black & White. This inspired me to use monotone colours, with the exception of the rose. I used Copic in the C family.

I have made a romantic distressed card. As you can see you are not limited to Halloween. This card could be used for non traditional Valentines Day or for a couple who love all things Gothic.

Goth Mom can be found in store here & Goth Dad can be found here. Don't forget to check out the new Goth Boy & Goth Girl which are now instore as well.

Supplies:
Colouring Medium:
Paper: Pion Design - The Witching Hour

Halloween Costumes

Hello everyone, have you started your Halloween projects yet?
Where I live we don't get any trick or treaters, but it's always fun to do Halloween things & I usually do that by making treats for my kids. With all that is going on in the world right now, things may be a little different for Halloween this year & you may not get to go trick or treating as you normally would. So today I am sharing an idea that you may like to use.

For todays D.T inspiration I have made a door hanger that you can hang on the kids door & fill with yummy treats.

Rachelle Anne Miller has released some spook-tak-ular new Halloween images & today I am using one of those called Halloween Costumes

I started out by cutting the base using an svg file that I purchased from the Silhouette Store. I then cut out the panels with some cute Halloween paper from Doodlebug. If you do not own a Silhouette cutting machine you can search door hangar templates on google. I did see a few come up there as well.

After gluing it together I added a spooky bat & spider which I also created with my Silhouette. Any Halloween dies in your stash would work. Lastly I added some webs using a punch & embellished with some matching flowers & ribbons. All that was left was to fill it up with yummy goodies.
Super fast & easy!

If you are lost for ideas I hope this gives you a little inspiration!

Halloween Costumes is available in digi format & can be found here. You will also find more Halloween images in store or you can save money & purchase the set where you will get 4 for the price of 3 here.
