Elf Avery with Candy Cane & Reindeer Ellie with Ornament

Hello Crafty Friends, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I am just popping in today to share 2 more Christmas cards before we ring in the new year.

Today I am sharing some D.T. inspiration for The Paper Nest Dolls & Xpress-It, using the digital stamps called Elf Avery with Candy Cane & Reindeer Ellie with Ornament, and some glitter deco tape.

For my cards I have created a 5x7 mat base. I then coloured my images & trimmed to size. For my Elf Avery card I cut a strip of paper slightly smaller than my base & stuck down 2 strips of each colour of Glitter Deco Tape. I then glued die cut letters on top to make my "MERRY" sentiment. You can see a video of how I did this on Instagram here.

For my Reindeer Ellie card it was the same process using only one strip of the Glitter Deco Tape then after adding the Glitter Deco Tape I ran my cardstock through the die cutting machine using some bauble dies. I then added some glitter thread & gems to embellish.

Santa's Workshop

Hello, I can't believe we are in November already! The Christmas countdown has officially begun! Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I just love to decorate my house. I always get so carried away. That brings me to today's creation. It is a project I made that was truly a labour of love.

WARNING This is a long post with lots of pics! ;)

I have made a diorama using the new collection from The Paper Nest Dolls called North Pole, as well as some previous PND elves.

I started with a wall hanging shelf from Kmart. I wasn't happy with the shelving sizes, so I knocked the inside shelves. I then asked my "handy" cabinet maker son to add 2 new shelves as well as the roof. I found a few items for doll house miniatures from Ebay & Doll House hobby stores. This includes the picture frame, grandfather clock, rocking horse, train & sack of reindeer feed.

For anything else I made using dies or out of Sculpey oven Clay. Wow how have I not used that stuff before!!! I absolutely love what you can do with it. So many endless possibilities. Even my daughters got in on the action. My oldest made the topiary trees & my youngest made the carrots.

Even the door, windows, chimney, toy shelves & wallpaper border are made out of Sculpey.

On the roof level I have the Elves stacking the sleigh, using Elf Ellie with Gifts & Elf Owen.

On top level I have used Mini Mrs Clause, Mini Santa & Mini Elf from the North Pole Collection & Elf Avery with Candy Cane.

On the middle level the Elves are hard at work making toys. I have used Elf Sewing Teddy, Elf Painting Train, Elf Avery with Christmas List & Elf with Jack-n-the-Box. I have also used Toy Soldier Owen in the background among the toys.

On the ground level I have used Mini Snowman, Mini Reindeer & North Pole Sign also from the North Pole Collection & Holiday Friends.

These stamps can be found in digi format here & in rubber here.
